MERINA RAINVILLE

Joy, creativity, and a connection with the natural world are essential to my teaching.
I am a Bay Area native now living in Moscow, ID where I teach preschool at the University of Idaho. I have a B.A in Music from San Jose State University and graduated last June with a Masters in Teaching from Santa Clara University. Currently, I am finishing my final year in Waldorf teacher training and hold both California and Idaho Teaching Credentials.
I have spent the past two years teaching in underserved elementary school communities, and learning to braid Common Core standards with Waldorf methodology.
When Covid-19 struck, I (along with a fellow teacher), founded "Out-of-the-Box Makers", which provides engaging and high-quality arts education for children at home. The virtual summer camps, workshops and art parties we developed were among some the very first online art programs on the market during the pandemic, and I gained invaluable insight into the creation and implementation of online learning strategies as a result.
